From an internal estimate to a customer quote

Keep the cost breakdown for yourself and send the customer a clear scope and price.

Agree on the job before the number

Give the job a specific description. Confirm quantity, material, color, finish and delivery expectations with the customer. A price without an agreed scope leaves room for misunderstandings. Put any important assumptions in Scope & terms.

Review the customer document

The client quote includes business and customer names, a reference, date, expiry, quantity, unit price, total and your terms. It omits your labor rate, machine rate, reserve and profit breakdown. The browser’s print dialog can save this view as a PDF.

Handle taxes and changes explicitly

This tool does not calculate tax or determine your tax obligations. Confirm applicable taxes before acceptance. Make it clear what is included in the quoted scope and issue an updated reference if specifications change.

Keep your own copy

Save the job locally and export its cost CSV for your records. Browser storage is device-specific and can be cleared. The CSV is an internal estimate and should be reviewed before sharing; it is not the same document as the customer quote.

Put your own time, material and business costs into the estimate.
